Why Moon, Dr. Ferhat Fikri ÖZEREN Talks About Lunar Exploration

  • About author:Dr. Ferhat Fikri ÖZEREN is a well-accomplished scientist in Astronomy and Space sciences; he served at least 32 years as academic and administrative personnel at Ankara University and Erciyes University in Türkiye. Besides, he worked for the National Observatory of The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye as an executive board member and researcher, and administrative person for many years. He worked for APSCO as the Deputy Director-General of the Department of Strategic Planning and Program Management between June 2019 and June 2021. He has been working for APSCO as Deputy Secretary-General since June 2021.

Abstract:

The First International Deep Space Exploration Conference (Tiandu Forum) was held April 25, 2023 in Hefei, a province of China. Under the theme of “Win-Win Cooperation, Fly to Space”, the conference focused on introducing China’s deep space exploration plan and promoting in-depth cooperation on the International Lunar Research Station (ILRS). Dr. Ferhat Fikri ÖZEREN, Deputy Secretary-General of Asia-Pacific Space Cooperation Organization (APSCO), attended the Engineering and Tehnology Sub-Forum of the conference and shared his opinions about the development on deep space exploration and space capability of developing countries.
